Using Job Search Engines
Did you know that it’s better to apply for a job through the employer’s website rather than on a general job search site? In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to use job search engines like Indeed to research and evaluate employment opportunities rather than for the applications themselves. We’ll go over tips for understanding job listings and for staying organized during your search. Lastly, we’ll share job search resources focused on those 50+.
This workshop is offered both in person or online. To join us in person at Dress for Success New Orleans, park in our lot behind 1700 Josephine Street and ring the doorbell at the second awning, double door entrance. If you are traveling via mass transit we are off the St. Charles Avenue Streetcar at Josephine and the Number 91 bus line at Jackson Ave. & Brainard and a short walk from the Number 15 O C Haley & Jackson Ave bus stop.
If you are unable to attend in person, join us online, with your unique url in your registration confirmation email at the designated time of the workshop. All female participants who attend will receive a voucher for three items from the DFSNO Suiting Center. Call Tracee at 504-891-4337 with any questions.
